Cookies on this site

We use cookies to make this site work, to measure how it is used, and to measure our advertising. Necessary cookies are always on; for statistics and marketing we ask your permission. Below you can see per category which cookies those are, who sets them and how long they stay.

Necessary Always on

Needed to make the site work: security, your language choice, signing up, and remembering this cookie preference. Our own visit measurement belongs here too. It runs on our own domain, does not go to advertisers, and is never tied to your name or e-mail address.

Name	Provider / domain	Expiration	Description
im-vid Cookie and localStorage	Informer informer.eu	365 days	A randomly generated identifier that lets us recognise your browser on a later visit. It holds no name and no e-mail address.
im-attribution Cookie and localStorage	Informer informer.eu	90 days	Remembers how you arrived on this website — the first and the most recent source, and the campaign parameters in the link you followed.
im-session sessionStorage	Informer informer.eu	Until you close the browser	Bounds a single visit to one session, so pages you view in a row are counted as one visit.
im-cookie-consent Cookie and localStorage	Informer informer.eu	180 days	Remembers the choice you make in this window, so we do not have to ask again on every visit.
intercom-id-vb7x1hpl Cookie	Intercom informer.eu	9 months	Recognises your conversation in the chat, so a question you asked earlier is still there on a later visit.
intercom-device-id-vb7x1hpl Cookie	Intercom informer.eu	9 months	Distinguishes the device you are chatting on, so a reply reaches the right screen.
intercom-session-vb7x1hpl Cookie	Intercom informer.eu	7 days	Keeps an ongoing chat conversation open while you move from page to page.

Marketing

Cookies from Google Ads, Meta, Microsoft Advertising and LinkedIn. They are how you get to see our advertisements on other websites, and how we measure whether those advertisements work. Without your permission these cookies are not placed.

MUID Cookie	Microsoft Advertising .bing.com	1 year	Recognises your browser across Microsoft websites, for advertising and its measurement.
