What can AI do with my data?
Your data is only used for AI features if you switch them on yourself via the opt-in toggle. For those features we work with external AI providers under a data processing agreement (DPA).
Two things are important to know. AI can make mistakes: always check results yourself before relying on them. And although a DPA is in place, data may be temporarily processed or stored on servers outside the European Economic Area. We take appropriate measures for this. If you switch on no AI features, your books stay entirely within the EU.
Where exactly is my data held?
On certified servers in Frankfurt, Germany. Inside the EU, and under European law. The only exception is the optional AI processing described above, which you enable yourself.
Who at Informer can see my books?
Nobody, unless you explicitly grant permission. Our support team only has access if you give it, and you can withdraw that access at any time.
Do you back up my administration?
Yes, continuously. Your administration is encrypted on certified servers in Frankfurt and backed up continuously, so a single outage never costs you your books.
