Who has to send e-invoices in Belgium?
Since 1 January 2026, VAT-registered businesses in Belgium exchange structured e-invoices with one another. That includes you if you use the small-business exemption scheme. Invoices to private customers can still be a PDF.
What is my Peppol ID and where do I find it?
In Belgium you appear on Peppol under your enterprise number (KBO/BCE), not your VAT number. You cannot register on the network yourself: that only happens through a service provider. With Informer it is part of setting up your account.
Do I have to invoice foreign customers via Peppol?
You do not. The Belgian obligation applies between businesses registered for VAT here, so a customer without an establishment in Belgium falls outside it. If they can receive e-invoices, you send them in multiple languages and currencies.
What does e-invoicing via Peppol cost at Informer?
